Answer:
Many countries have compulsory military service for men after they leave school. It would be a good idea to adopt this system, for men and possibly women.
To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?
With increasing job opportunities and career options in various fields people are reluctant to join military. This is becoming a major concern for various countries. There are a few countries where men have to serve military necessarily after completing their education. In my opinion this rule should be there in every country both for men and women. This will not only strengthen armed forces of the country but will also improve health and security of people.
Although countries have started using machines more than men during wars, still the importance of human soldiers cannot be neglected. With the growth of finance, marketing and education sectors, people are getting more job opportunities. most importantly the risk of life is not there in these sectors. This is the main reason of people becoming reluctant to join armed forces. If military service is made mandatory, people will not have any option other than joining military for a few years. This will help in strengthening of military.
Health is another area where people will be benefitted by joining military. Rigorous exercises and activities help in strengthening both mind and body. Increasing fat in people can be dealt with only by physical exercise.
Crime is growing at an alarming rate in every country. More than half of these crimes are against women. Most of these crimes are committed because women are not confident enough to oppose the crime. Military training can help in improving their confidenceto stand against crime and raise their voice.
To conclude, military service after schooling should be made compulsory both for males as swell as females. This improve country's security as well as the health of its citizens.

Compulsory Military Service Essay - Revised Format
by: Jyles
Compulsory military conscript has always been a bone of contention, nevertheless, this process is being practiced by many countries the world over. Though men are predominantly drafted into military in those countries, some nationalists demand that females should also be encouraged to do so. This essay, however, disagrees with the idea of mandatory community service based on following reasons.
To begin with, it is nothing but infringement of civil rights to enforce military service on the young populace. Every civilian has the rights of free will, in which they can make decisions according to their desire. Whereas a legaly imposed community service is denial of their freedom of choice. As such, personal interst of young ones should be respected.
In addition, this can also affect the learning process of students. This is because in most of the countries schooling ends at the teenage, which is the peak period of education, where a student choses his career. If those students are enrolled in military they may either lose their urge for higher education or just give up pursuing it. This would be catastrophic to the nation, as they lack productive citizens for morrow. Therefore, priority should be given to pursuing higher education rather than building up a reserved army.
In conclusion, compulsory armed service ought to be dropped.Whereas, individual should be given the rights to make personal decisions and priority should be given to education.
It is hoped that the governments will come up with clear legislation to meet the security needs of the country by other means.
Army is synonymous to grit and valour, these are the people who preserve Nations peace and security by remaining thick skinned and attentive day and night, but under what circumstances and by what means should a democracy make use of military to protect our interests or to carry out our national policy
India's current national disputes would include border disputes with china, nepal; protests against CAA and NRC and prevalent terrorism in J&K, now it needs to be under stood that the magnitude of dispute is significantly different in the above mentioned cases. Terrorism is something which can only be curbed through military action as there is no question of tolerance there ,the same could be said about our border disputes but using military action against civilians seems unproven and groundless. If a group of individuals disagree with any of government's policy there are supposed to make the government aware of that without the fear of facing retribution of military, In a democracy like ours everyone has the liberty to put forward their opinion, something like this would be against the corevl fundamentals of a democracy
Military is not riot police, its almost like dragging military away from its purpose. Restraining civilians from doing protest is not what the military is intended for and besides police is well equipped to maintain law and order inside th country
I would conclude by saying military wouldn't have been required in the first place if the world was a good enough place to live but as things stand now every nation needs military for several reasons but resolving internal civilian disputes shouldn't be one of them.
