should the resistance of ammeter be low or high give reason​

Answer:

An ammeter is inserted in series with a circuit to measure the amount of current flowing. Its resistance must below so as to not disturb the circuit. Thelower the resistance, the less effect the ammeter has on the circuit.

ANSWER

It should be as close to zero as possible. Ideally it should be zero ohm. If it is non - zero and substitutial it will affect the true current.
