Tertiary sector is gaining importance in India because there has been a shift from primary sector to secondary and tertiary sector based on the factors like better infrastructural facilities, education, economic growth in India which has provided better employment oppurtunities to people.

Tertiary sector has emerged as the largest sector in India  because of the fast economic growth of the country. It traveled from primary level to the secondary level. This has happened due to the increased level of educational facilities, health facilities, housing facilities, employment facilities and etc.

Due to the large number of in house productions in India, the number of business opportunities have increased which has led to higher economic development which has led to entry in tertiary sector of production.
