p(x)=2x^2+7x-4

p(1/2)=2(1/2)^2+7(1/2)-4

p(1/2)=2/4+7/2-4

p(1/2)=2/4+7/2-4/1

p(1/2)=1+7-8/2

p(1/2)=8-8/2

p(1/2)=0/2

p(1/2)=0
