Given , polynomial

f ( x ) = 2x³ - x² + x + 4

To show that ( - 1 ) is a zero of the given polynomial.

Now ,

f ( x ) = 2x³ - x² + x + 4

f ( - 1 ) = 2 ( - 1 )³ - ( - 1 )² + ( - 1 ) + 4

=> 2 ( - 1 ) - ( 1 ) - 1 + 4

=> - 2 - 1 - 1 + 4

=> - 4 + 4

=> 0 \boxed{PROVED}

So , ( - 1 ) is a Zero of the given polynomial.
