\bf 17 \times 41 \times 43 \times 61 + 43=2 \times 7 \times 43 \times 3037 \\

It has been shown that it is a composite number.

Given:

  • 17 \times 41 \times 43 \times 61 + 43 \\

To find:

  • Show that the given number is composite number.

Solution:

Definition to be used:

Composite number: A number is said to be composite if it has atleast two prime factors which can be unique or distinct.

Smallest composite number is 4.

Step 1:

If there is no (+) sign in the number, then it is shown to be clearly composite.

But here, we have to remove that sign.

Take 43 common from both terms.

 = 43(17 \times 41 \times 61 + 1)\\

Step 2:

It can't be further simplify without applying BODMAS.

So,

 = 43(42517 + 1) \\

or

 =4 3 \times 42518 \\

Thus,

There are two factors; so, according to definition, we can say that it is composite number.

or

 \bf 17 \times 41 \times 43 \times 61 + 43=2 \times 7 \times 43 \times 3037 \\

Thus,

It has been shown that it is a composite number.
