p(x)=3x²—5x—2

if x=2

p(2)=3(2)²—5(2)—2

=12—10—2

=0

if x=—⅓

p(—⅓)=3(—⅓)²—5(—⅓)—2

=⅓+5/3—2

=1+5—6/3

=0/3=0

hence, 2 and—⅓ are the zeros of p(x)
