Heya !!!

-X -2 = 0

-X = 2

X = -2

P(X) = 2X³ - X² - 2X -8

P(-2) = 2 × (-2)³ - (-2)² - 2 × -2 - 8

=> 2 × -8 - 4 + 4 - 8

=> -16 -8

=> -24

Remainder is not equal to 0.

So,

-X -2 is not a factor of the given polynomial.
