• Co-Prime : Two numbers whose HCF is 1 are called co-prime numbers.

In other words, two numbers which don't have any common factors except 1 are called co-prime.

Here,
247 = 13×19
187 = 11×17

Clearly, HCF (287,187) = 1.

So, 247 and 187 are co-prime

Given:

The numbers are 247 and 187

To find:

Prove as co-prime

Answer:

When two integer a and b are said to be co-prime if only positive integer divides the both and the value comes as 1. Any two numbers that has highest common factor ‘1’ is called as a co-prime numbers.

Factors of 187=11 \times 17

Factors of 247=13 \times 19

So, there is no common factor for 187 and 247 other than ‘1’

Therefore 247 and 187 are co-prime numbers.
