Show that 2x - 1 is not a factor of the polynomial P of x = 3^3 + x^2- 7x- 5 without actual division.​

by remainder theorem

2x - 1 = 0

2x = 1

x = 1/2

putting it's value in

3x^3 + x^2- 7x- 5

3/8 + 1/4 -7/2 -5

5/8 -17/5

25-85/40

-60/40

-3/2
