Show that 3+✓2 is an irrational number​

Solution :

let,

3 + √2 = x is a rational number

=> 3 + √2 = x

=> √2 = x - 3

as x is rational number ( x - 3 ) is also rational number but √2 is an irrational number which is equal to ( x - 3 ).

hence, 3 + √2 is a rational number

Hence Proved.
