⇒ 2x^3 - x^2 - 13x - 6
⇒ 2 (3)^3 - (3)^2 - 13 (3) - 6
⇒ 2 (27) - 9 - 39 - 6
⇒ 54 - 48 - 6

2(3)3-(3)2-13(3)-6 = 2(27)-9-39-6
=54-54= 0
therefore 3 is a zero of the polynomial.if 3 is a zero then (x-3) is a factor.
we have to divide 2x3-x2-13x-6 by (x-3)
Hope its help you dear
