Hey!!!

Let 5–4√3 be a rational no. "a"

Therefore,

5–4√3 = a

–4√3 = a–5

√3= a–5/–4

since, a, –5, –4 are rational nos.

therefore

 \frac{a - 5}{ - 4}

is an rational no.

but, √3 is an irrational no.

=> irrational= rational

this is not possible.

our assumption is false.

Therefore, 5–4√3 is an irrational number.
