Show that 5 - √5 is irrational​

it's very easy

let 5-√5 be a rational number then it can be written in the form of a/b.

5-√5 =a/b

-√5=a/b-5

-√5=a-5b/b

now here a contradiction arises that a irrational number is equal to a rational number so our assumption was wrong so 5-√5 is a irrational number. proved
