5x^2 -26x + 5=0

Lets take the value of x be 5

=> 5×(5)^2 - 26×5 +5 =...

= 5×25 - 130 +5

= 125 - 125

= 0

Thus it is proved that 5 is a zero of the polynoial 5x^2 -26x + 5=0 .

Hope it helped...

\mathfrak{\large{\underline{\underline{Solution:-}}}}

Given :- f(x) = 5x² - 26x + 5

To find :- 5 is zero of f(x) or not

We know that a number is zero if f(given number ) = 0

So, first we will substitute 5 in place of x

f(x) = 5x² - 26x + 5

f(5) = 5(5)² - 26(5) + 5

f(5) = 5(25) - 130 + 5

f(5) = 125 - 130 + 5

f(5) = 130 - 130

f(5) = 0

Since f(5) = 0.

5 is a zero of the polynomial 5x² - 26x + 5

What is a polynomial ?

An algebraic expression in which the variables in world have only non negative integral powers is called a polynomial

• If variable in a polynomial is x we may denote the polynomial by p(x), f(x), or r(x) etc.

What is a zero of a polynomial ?

We say that is zero of a polynomial p(x) is the value of x for which p(x) = 0.

This value is also called a root of a polynomial p(x)
