Show that capacity of a parallel plate capacitor depends upon the geometrical
factors of capacitor. If the distance between the plates is increased how does it
affect the capacitance and energy of the capacitor?

plz this is very important

In general capacitance of parallel plate capacitor is given by:

C=kϵ A/ d

where C is capacitance, k is relative permittivity of dielectric material, ϵ

0 is permittivity of free space constant, A is area of plates and d is distance between them.

So as the distance between the plates is increased, its capacity decreases.
