show that current density of a metallic conductor is directly proportional to the speed of electrons.

Since Current=neAv, where n is no. of electrons per unit volume, e is charge on eletron, A is area, v is drift velocity.
From the above equation, j, current density equals nev.
Thus , it is proportional to velocity of electrons.
