show that every positive even integer is of the form 2q and that every positive odd integer is of the form 2q + 1 where Q is some integer ​

Answer:

positive integers= 2,4,6.....

Euclid division lemma= a= bq+r

2q,2q+r........

q=1,2,5........

b=2,. r=0 or 1

2(1)+0=2.......even

2(2)+0=4.......even

2(1)+1=3........odd

2(2)+1=5........odd

therefore every positive even integers= 2q

odd integer= 2q+1
