show that tan square theta-1 by cos square theta=-1

 {tan}^{2} - \frac{1}{ {cos}^{2} }

 = > {tan}^{2} - {sec}^{2}

Since,

Sec^2-tan^2 = 1



=> -1 = RHS

Thus,It is proved that

 {tan}^{2} - \frac{1}{ {cos}^{2} } = - 1
