In ∆ABD
1/2 x b x h = 1/2 x BD x AO
In ∆CBD
1/2 x b x h = 1/2 x BD x CO
Area of rhombus = 1/2 x b x h + 1/2 x b x h
= 1/2 x BD x AO + 1/2 x BD x CO
= 1/2 x BD (AO + CO)
= 1/2 x BD x AC
