If points are collinear, then area of triangle =0

 \frac{1}{2} (x1(y2 - y3) + x2(y3 - y2) + x3(y2 - y1) \\  \\  =  >  \frac{1}{2} (6(8) + 0( - 7 - 9) +  - 6(1 - 9)) \\  \\  =  >  \frac{1}{2} (48 + 0 - 48) = 0 \\  \\ (48 - 48) = 0 \\  \\
Hence area of triangle =0

Therefore the points are collinear..
