if 3 points lie on same line then slope(AB)=slope(BC)=slope(AC)

slope =(y2-y1)/(x2-x1)

slope of AB=(5-2)/(7-4)=1

slope of BC=(7-5)/(9-7)=1

slope of AC=(7-2)/(9-4)=1

hence they r lying on same line
