show that the points A (5,0),B (11,0) and C (8,4) are the vertices of an isosceles triangle​

Given points ,

A(5,0) , B(11,0) & C(8,4)

the distance between A and B =√(x2-x1)^2 + (y2-y1)^2

√(11-5)^2 + (0-0)^2

√6^2 =6

therefore , the distance between A and B = 6 units

similarly ,

the distance between B and C = 5 units

the distance between C and A = 5 units

from the above ,

CA = BC ≠AB

hence , the given points are the vertices of a isosceles triangle
