Then draw perpendicular in both the triangles after this write the ratio of their areas using the formula 0.5 base *height.

After all this apply certain similarity theorems and then we are good to go with the proof of the theorem that ratio of the areas of two similar triangles equal to the square of the ratio of their corresponding altitude
