Change of physical state of matter is called inter conversion of the state of matter. Every matter changes its state from solid to liquid to gas due to the changes in temperature and sometimes pressure as well.

Due to huge changes in temperature, the state of a matter changes but it’s not necessary that the state of the matter will always change from solid to liquid to gas.

For example in sublimation where due to change in temperature the solid will directly change into liquid state and vice-versa.
