Given : quadratic equation -x²+3x-3= 0

To Find : Show that sum of the roots of quadratic equation is 3

Solution:

quadratic equation  ax² + bx + c = 0

sum of roots = -b/a

quadratic equation -x²+3x-3= 0

=> a = - 1

  b = 3

c = 3

sum of roots = -b/a

= - 3/(-1)

= 3

hence sum of roots is 3
