f(1) = 2(1)³- 3(1)² +7(1) - 6
      = 2-3+7-6
      =0

f(x)=2x^3-3x^2+7x-6
by long division we can write as
f(x)=(x-1)(2x^2-x+6)
here x-1 is a factor of f(x)
so substitute x=1 we get
f(1)=(1-1)(2-1+6)
      =(0)(7)
       =0
