hi friend,

==========================

if( x-1 ) is a factor ,then 1 will be the zero

given x^10-1=(1)^10-1=0

and also x^11-1=(1)^11-1=0

so (x-1) is the factor of x^10-1,x^11-1

hence proved..

I hope this will help u :)

Answer and explanation:

To show : (x-1) is a factor of x^{10}-1 and also of x^{11}-1 ?

Solution :

If x-1 is a factor then we can equate it to zero.

As x-1=0

\Rightarrow x=1

We know that factor satisfy the equation,

So, x^{10}-1=(1)^{10}-1=1-1=0

and x^{11}-1=(1)^{11}-1=1-1=0

Therefore, (x-1) is a factor of x^{10}-1 and also of x^{11}-1
