p(x) = {x}^{3} - 13x - 12 \\ p(1) = {1}^{3} - 13 \times 1 - 12 \\ p(1) = 1 - 13 - 12 \\ p(1) = 1 - 25 \\ p(1) = - 24

Therefore,x-1 is not a factor of
x (cube)-13x-12
