Answer:

If X = 2

5 x + 3y = 4

5 (2) +3 y=4

10+3 y=4

3 y=4-10

3 y=-6

y=-6/3

y=-2

(X, Y) = (2,-2)

If y = -2

5x+3 y=4

5X+3(-2) = 4

5 x + (-6) = 4

5 x-6=4

5x = 4+6

5x = 10

x = 10/5

x = 2

( x , y ) = ( 2, -2)
