Show that x²+2x+7=0 has no real roots.​

discriminant = b^ 2 - 4ac

= 2^2 - 4 × 1 ×7

= 4 - 28

= -24

-24 < 0

therefore discriminant is less than 0 ,

so the equation has no real roots.
