it is simple .as we know that atmospheric pressure acts on every body thus due to this pressure the spherical drop of liquid should get shrinked but it doesn't happen because there is an opposing pressure named as excess pressure inside the drop which counter balances the effect of atmospheric pressure and make the drop ableto exist .it's magnitude is 2S/R where S is surface tension and R is the radius of drop .thus the pressure inside a liquid drop is more than atmospheric pressure or pressure outside the drop.
