Show The steps for Experiment:- On Force of Nature [Tornadoes, Clouds, Water Cycle]

Objective:

To understand the forces of nature like twisters and typhoons and to learn about evaporation and cloud formation, how rainfall occurs and water cycle.

Requirements:-

Scale, Disposable plates, Cardboard, Contruction Paper, Sponage, Pet Bottles, Wax Crayon, Tumblers, Glass, Tape, Glass jar, Torch, Matches, Ice cubes, Edible colour and Alcohol thermometer.

1. Experiment/Procedure.

Adult supervision is required for this Experiment as dealing with hot water.

Take to clear tumblers and add a drop or two of edible colour to one of the tumblers and fill it with hot water to the brim. Fill the second tumbler up to the brim with cold water. Place a peice of cardboard on the tumbler of hot water with colour in it and invert the tumbler upside down and place it on the mouth of the tumbler of cold water. Remove the cardboard sheet carefully and hold the tumblers together and observe. Now turn the tumblers upside down holding them together so that the one with hot water is at bottom and the one with cold water is at the top.

Hey, mate here is your answer.....

The air pushing up from underneath the paper is strong enough to stop of weight of the water from pushing the card down. Because of this air pressure, the card will stay on the glass and the water will not spill out.....

Tornado➫ A large scale air mass that rotates around a strong center of low atmospheric pressure.

♦ It is characterized by inward spiraling winds that rotate about a zone of low pressure.

♦ It rotate clockwise in the Southern Hemisphere & anti-clockwise in the Northern Hemisphere.

♦ It also referred to as hurricanes & typhoons.

♦ They consist of the eye, eyewall & rainbands.
