Solution 1 :-

Intercept on x - axis, a = 3

Intercept on y - axis, b = 6.

So equation of line using intercept form is

\bf \:\dfrac{x}{a} + \dfrac{y}{b} = 1

On Substituting, a = 3 and b = 6, we get

\bf \:\dfrac{x}{3} + \dfrac{y}{6} = 1

\bf\implies \:\dfrac{2x + y}{6} = 1

\bf\implies \:2x + y = 6

\bf\implies \:2x + y - 6 = 0.

Solution - 2 :-

Intercept on x - axis, a = 8

Intercept on y - axis, b = 4

So equation of line using intercept form is

\bf \:\dfrac{x}{a} + \dfrac{y}{b} = 1

On substituting, a = 8 and b = 4, we get

\bf\implies \:\dfrac{x}{8} + \dfrac{y}{4} = 1

\bf\implies \:\dfrac{x + 2y}{8} = 1

\bf\implies \:x + 2y = 8

\bf\implies \:2y = 8 - x

\bf\implies \:y = 4 - \dfrac{1}{2} x
