x = 2y + 7

=> x - 2y = 7 .... (1)

Now, according to the second case :

(x+3) = (y+3)+19

=> x - y = 19 .... (2)

On solving equation (1) and (2) :

-y = - 12 => y = 12

On putting the value of y in equation (1) :

=> x = 2×12 + 7

=> x = 31

So, the present age of Shreya = 31 years and present age of sarla = 12 years.
