let the number be x

x+7/2=2x+7/2

now,

5(2x+7/2) = 10x+35/2

now,

4x= 10x+35/2

4x×2= 10x+35

8x=10x+35

-35=10x-8x

-35=2x

-35/2=x= -17.5
