Shyam went to a stationary shop and purchased 2 pens and 3 pencils for rs. 9. his friend rahim saw the new variety of pens and 3 pencils with shyam and he also bought 4 pens and 6 pencils of the same kind for rs. 18. (i) form the equations in variables x and y. (ii) represent this situation graphically. (ii) which person have been more beneficial?

1.Let the price of one pen be x.Let the price of one pencil be y.(1) A.T.Q 2x+3y=9   ...(1)4x+6y=182(2x+3y)=182x+3y=9 Equation is same for Shyam and Rahim.(2) When x=0 , y=3
Y = 1 X = 3
3.Both have been equally beneficial , as they got the pen and pencil at same price.
