Given:

  • side = 8cm
  • PRS = 90°
  • RS = 12cm

To Find:

area of PQRS

Solution:

First we will find the area of ∆PQR

area of equitorial triangle= \frac{ \sqrt{3} }{4} \times a \times a

⟹ \frac{ \sqrt{3} }{4} \times 8 \times 8

⟹27.71sq.cm

Now,

we will find the area of ∆PRS

⟹ \frac{1}{2} \times b \times h

⟹ \frac{1}{2} \times 12 \times 8

⟹48sq.cm

Now add both the areas:

⟹48 + 27.71

⟹75.71sq.cm

hence,

{\boxed{\tt{\red{area\:of\:PQRS\:is\:75,71\;sq.cm}}}}
