Side BC of triangle ABC has been produced to point D such that angle ACD= 120°. If angle B is half of angle A find Angle A.

Angle ACD is 120 where d is just the extended line of BC so angle ACB is 180 - 120 which is 60° !! Now the sum of all angles of a triangle is 180!! If angle A is 2x then angle B will be half of it that is x !! so the total 180° = angle ABC + angle BCA + angle CAB which is 180 = 2x + 60 + x..
3x = 180 - 60 ....
x = 120/3 = 40....
now x was angle B which is 40 so angle A which is double of B will be 2x , ie. 2*40 = 80°
