Hydrogen
is a non-metal even though is included in the activity series because
of the fact that it behaves like a metal in manychemical reactions.
Moreover hydrogen is a
important chemical reference point with regard to the reactivity
towards acids. Metals above hydrogen will displace the hydrogen from
acids and metals below hydrogen will not displace hydrogen from acids.
