It must respond and evolve with the momentous changes in bothengineering and physics which are occurring continually. ... Yet the obvious and enormous increase in subject matter of modernphysics is not the most significant factor relating to the aim of instruction in physics in the education of engineers.
Physics is the natural science that involves the study of matter and its motion and behavior through space and time, along with related concepts such as energy and force. Thus, despite some branches of engineering might not put total emphasis on this science, most of them imply a great deal of it, making it fundamental for the study of engineering. Physical concepts, such asnewtonian mechanics, electricity, thermodynamics, optics, etc., play a role of great importance in the process of inovation and updating, crucial in the development of engineering branches (i.e.: electrial engineering, automotive engineering, mechanical engineering, and so on).
