In both java and India forest was exploitated by the Colonial power.

Both of them were colonised Java by the Dutch and Bastar by the Britishers but they show much similarities in their forest management .

2 Both of them made forest laws deprived the natives from practicing their age old customes.Eg .. Shifting cultivation , hunting .

3 They felled trees to meet their industrial need of railways and shipbuilding

4 Trees were cut down for plantation .

5 Both of them planted trees according to their need - Scientific agriculture .
