Narmada Bachao Andolan (NBA) is an Indian social movement spearheaded by native tribals (adivasis), farmers, environmentalists and human rights activists against a number of large dam projects across river Narmada, which flows through the states of Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra.
Tawa Matsya Sangh helped the fisherworkers as they werre fighting for them. The TMS fought for the rights of the displaced forest dwellers to continue fishing for their livelihood. TMS helped the fishworkers by ensuring that they got the right/required prices from the sale of fish, thus helping them earn money to live.
