The simplest hydrocarbon molecule is methane, which is one carbon atom with four hydrogen atoms stuck to it.

WHY IS IT SO SIMPLE :

Similar to the simple people we meet in our everyday life's methane also is simple in its own way just like the simple people who do not over dress and act simple methane also has the structure ( CH4) it is complete with no lone pair of electrons left and look at it its totally satisfied with its simple form
