( \sqrt{13}  +  \sqrt{5} )( \sqrt{13}  -  \sqrt{5} ) \\  \\  = ( { \sqrt{13} })^{2}  -  ({ \sqrt{5} })^{2}..by \: using \\  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: \boxed{ (a + b) (a - b) = a^{2}  -  {b}^{2} } \\  \\  = (13 - 5) \\  \\  =  \green{ \boxed{8}}
