Hi I have an answer to your problem

Simplify: ( 2 x – 4 ) - ( 6 x + 6 )

Solution:

( 2 x – 4 ) - ( 6 x + 6 )

= 2 x - 4 – 6 x – 6

= 2 x – 6 x – 4 – 6

= - 4 x –  10

= - 2 ( 2 x + 5 )

Answer:  - 2 ( 2 x + 5 )

Simplify: (2x - 4) - (6x + 6)

Solution:

(2x-4)-(6x+6)

2x-4-6x-6

2x-6x-4-6

-4x -10

-2(2x+5)

We can find the value of x also

-4x-10=0

-4x=10

x= 10/-4

x= -5/2
