The question is :

Simplify ∛{√(y³)} and expresd the result in the form of a power of y.

The answer is given below :

Now, ∛{√(y³)}

= ∛{(y³)^(1/2)}, since √a = a^(1/2)

= ∛{y^(3/2)}, since (x^a)^b = x^(ab)

= {y^(3/2)}^(1/3), since ∛a = a^(1/3)

= y^{(3/2) × (1/3)}

= y^(1/2)

= √y, which is in the required form.

I hope that it helps you.
