x = 3 \\ 3x(4x - 5) + 3 \\ 3 \times 3(4 \times 3 - 5) + 3 \\ 9(12 - 5) + 3 \\ 9 \times 7 + 3 \\ 63 + 3 \\ 66
x =  \frac{1}{2}  \\ 3 \times  \frac{1}{2} (4 \times  \frac{1}{2}  - 5) + 3 \\  \frac{3}{2} ( \frac{4}{2}  - 5) + 3 \\  \frac{3}{2} ( \frac{4 - 10}{2} ) + 3 \\  \frac{3}{2}  \times  \frac{ - 6}{2}  + 3 \\  \frac{ - 18}{4}  +  \frac{3}{1}  \\    \frac{ - 18 + 12}{4}  =  \frac{ - 6}{4}  =  \frac{ - 3}{2}

3x(4x−5)+3=12x^2−15x+3

x=3 gives the value 12(9)−15×3+3

                             =108−45+3

                              =66

x=1/2 gives the value 12(1/4)−15×(1/2)+3

                             =3−7.5+3

                              = - 3/2
