Step-by-step explanation:

(4x + y)^3 - (4x - y)^3

as by identity (a+b)^3 = (a+b)(a^2 - ab + b^2)

and

(a-b)^3=(a-b)(a^2 + ab + b^2)

then ,

= (4x+y) ((4x)^2 - (4x)(y) + y^2) - (4x - y)((4x)^2 + (4x)(y)+ y^2)

= 4x+y ( 16x^2-4xy+y^2)-4x+y(16x^2+4xy+y^2)

Let's have the terms 4x+y which was common in both the equations

=(4x+y) ( 16x^2 - 4xy+y^2-16x^2-4xy-y^2)

Cancel the values which have diffrent signs

=(4x+y)( - 8xy)

=-32x^2y - 8xy^2

Be delighted :)
