5 \sqrt{8}  + 2 \sqrt{2}  \\  = 5(2 \sqrt{2}  ) + 2 \sqrt{2}  \\  = 10 \sqrt{2}  + 2 \sqrt{2} \\ = (10 + 2) \sqrt{2} \\  = 12 \sqrt{2}
